Central Board of Indirect Taxes & Customs (CBIC) has issued certain notifications to ensure minimum hardships to trade and industry in the existing situation. Brief of the notifications are given below:

1. 44/2020-Central Tax dated 8th

June 2020

Filing procedures of GSTR-3B has been simplified, now the registered person can file & verify Nil Return via SMS facility with effect from 8th June’ 2020.
2. 45/2020-Central Tax dated 9th June 2020 Amendment in Notification No. 10/2020- Central tax dated 21st March 2020

 

This notification has provided Special Procedures to be followed in respect of Tax period, registration, Electronic Credit ledger regarding transition period by the Daman & Diu and Dadar & Nagar Haveli.

 

The transition date has been changed from 31st May 2020 to 31st July 2020.

3. 46/2020-Central Tax dated 9th June 2020 Passing of Refund Orders:

The time limits for issuance of order as per Section 54(5) or Section 54(7) of the CGST Act which falls during the 20th March 2020 to the 29th June 2020, has been extended to:

·         15 days after the receipt of reply to the notice from the registered person

·         30th day of June 2020,

·         whichever is later

(As per Section 54(7) the time limit for the said order is 60 days from the receipt of application)

4. 47/2020-Central Tax dated 9th June 2020 Validity Period of E-Way Bills deemed to be extended to 30th June 2020.

 

(E-Way bill generated on or before 24th March & whose validity has expired on or after 20th March 2020)
