A fellow member of the Institute (FCA), Umesh Babu brings almost 25 years of post-qualification experience across direct and international taxation, GST and indirect taxes, and regulatory and policy matters. He heads the firm’s tax vertical and is based at the Bangalore office. Beyond leading the tax practice, he has advised on a number of international and domestic companies on a wide range of tax and regulatory issues and represents clients extensively before the GST and Income Tax authorities in assessment, scrutiny, adjudication and appeal matters. He also advises foreign and Indian businesses on cross-border structuring and FEMA compliance, supporting them through their entry into India and their continued growth.
